www.cnn.com/video/#/video/crime/2009/10/09/pn.cop.shoots.homeowner.cnnHow can they be calling this an accident? There's nothing accidental about purposely shooting someone you know is the innocent homeowner in the back six times. You can bet that people in that city won't make the mistake of calling the police again. And now they're claiming that the cop did nothing wrong. Its unforgivable that he received less than the death penalty for this crime.

What no warning or orders too drop the gun? The cops just enter the house knowing the homeowner is armed and holding the intruder with guns blazing.. WTF??
Home owners first mistake was not too shoot too kill the intruder.
I hope the cop has too pay dearly for this. I can think of no way they could loose their case if they have a jury with people like me on it. And being from Arizona, I can tell you that there are MANY people that feel this way.

But the cop ISN'T going to pay for it. He's already been cleared of all wrongdoing.
The family probably will win a lawsuit against the department/city, but that just means the taxpayers will pay the bill, and the cop will carry on with his job.

They should name him specifically in the suite, and sue the dept and the cop both. Just because the dept cleared him doesn't mean a jury will.
