My US 129 Dragon Vacation

I went on vacation last week to Deal's Gap/The Dragon, that famous motorcycle hot spot of curves and switchbacks in the beautiful Tennessee and NC Smoky Mountains on US 129.

I was fishing and sightseeing, though, not biking. The mountain water was soooo cold that there was fog rising off the river there at 2 o'clock in the afternoon! I saw some gorgeous butterflies, too!
There were local photgraphers there, too, snapping pix of everyone that drove by. You can go to the website later and see yourself and buy digital pix of your drive-by.

Oh, and one idiot nearly sideswiped me on a tight curve. I guess I shouldn't have been driving my "cage" where he wanted to go as fast as he could around a tight curve on his "freedom machine," huh?
