I went to Hardees this week through drive-thru in this friggin' heat in a vehicle (Blazer if it matters) with no air conditioner.
This is the customer contact msg I just sent them.
I'm curious of anyone elses opinions
Pretty sure it was the day stated in the questionaire but may be incorrect.
I'll keep it short as possible. I live in Huntington and work in Wabash. We have some coupons for buy small drink and small fry, get free 1/3 orig thick burger.
Co-worker offers to buy lunch if I pick it up. I go through drive-thru stating 2 seperate but identicle orders. I pull around the corner to pay and the daytime manager flips out into some frenzied panick mode when she sees the passenger seat in my truck empty.
She stated that something about getting audited, blah blah blah she can't do that blah blah blah. I asked if she rang the order up seperate orders as the coupon stated (one coupon per order) Well I can do it this time she says.
I have 2 questions:
1) Why does it matter if 2 seperate orders are placed to use 2 seperate coupons, and she only knows this from seeing only one person in the vehicle?
2) Why would I spend extra money to buy a sandwich combo twice, that's so big, 1 order can barely be eaten?
This really ruined my day.

lol, I had a similar postal incident. My tracking information said that my package was at the post office on a Thursday morning so I figured it would be at the house when i got home from work, it wasn't. Tracking info still read the same on Friday and I had the day off so I waited for the mailman, but didn't even get any mail for once. I tromped around the house and refreshed the tracking info a couple more times then I went down to the post office and told the lady at the desk I'd been waiting for my package that the tracking info said was there but still wasn't delivered since yesterday, and our mail has already ran through our neighborhood. She acted like I shouldn't have even have the information I had when I showed her the tracking number and other info like what time it arrived there but still hadn't been delivered. She went back for about three minutes, came back out her terminal screen again, she wrote down the tracking number off my paper this time, disappeared again for a couple minutes and came back with it. I thanked her as I was happy to get my loot finally, it was just the attitude that seemed to be there.

Customer service is getting worse everywhere. I stopped into a Shell gas station last week and tried to buy a bottled drink, but they refused to let me buy it. They said there was "a $3 minimum purchase on groceries". I said "are you really telling me that you don't want my money?" Instead of taking 5 seconds to ring up the $1 item, they had to go restock the bottle I left on the counter when I walked out. It really doesn't make sense, excellent customer service should be the good part about high unemployment. Any employee that is less than perfect in every way can be fired because they're is a long line of people wanting that job. Stupid and rude people who don't speak English should be the ones unemployed, but somehow we have the opposite.

OH MY, you need to get about 30 (All at once!) of your friends to go in and each only getting what you tried to and see what happens. Try and find something that rings up just under $3, $2.97 or something and see what happens. I think there is a shell still here. If there is I'm going to see what happens. If they start selling them ask what happened to the 3 dollar minimum. and on top of that, ----- Shell Service Station - Have a good experience? A poor one? Let us know! (questions, comments, service station locator) Phone: 888-GO-SHELL (888-467-4355) E-mail: ShellCustomerCare@shell.com www.shell.us/home/content/usa/footer/contact_us/#subtitle_1----- People seemed to complain about the dumbest stuff in years past, but it seems we aren't doing it enough anymore about things we should be. I guess I really should start being an Major A-}{ole when the situation calls for it instead of just accepting it and not doing anything about it. That's kinda what drove me to send them the msg I did about the drive-thru.

No company cares about complaints. At the very most, they might send you a coupon for a free burger. But they won't do anything about that manager. No matter how much she might deserve to be fired and beaten senseless, companies have NO interest in doing what's right. They just want the problem (you) to go away as quickly and easily as possible by ignoring you or giving you some token response that cost them nothing.
Part of the problem is customers having ridiculous expectations and making up outrageous lies about employees.
Customer: I want this for half price because I bought something here last week. Lamron: I'm sorry, I can't change any prices, they're all set by the corporate office. Customer to Manager: Lamron was very rude to me and cussed me out for no reason. Then he tripped my child and laughed about it.
When I worked at Best Buy, if we had a really slow night we'd go around and empty the comment boxes in each department. We'd read the comments aloud and all get a big laugh about them. Then they would all be thrown away.
Since I drive a van now with the company phone number on the side, I get at least one or two complaints about my driving per week. My manager doesn't even bother to tell me about them unless its something really crazy and funny. But when he takes the phone call, he tells them he's going to find out which driver that was and put a stop to it, severe punishment, etc. Whatever it takes for the caller to feel satisfied and go away.
Because of so many customers "crying wolf" and companies really not caring about anything that doesn't cost them money, you're wasting your time complaining about bad service.

I see your point. however it really stinks that about the all senseless complaints that seem to cause them to not bother anymore. Although I really didn't expect anything to come of it, my wish if I had one would be more of the same coupon FROM THEM so I can do it again.
I DID HOWEVER really really enjoy your customer service complaint:
Customer: I want this for half price because I bought something here last week. Lamron: I'm sorry, I can't change any prices, they're all set by the corporate office. Customer to Manager: Lamron was very rude to me and cussed me out for no reason. Then he tripped my child and laughed about it.
it took a few for me to compose myself before I could respond ;D
I've been in retail for almost 16 or 17 years and have seen alot of ridiculous things myself, I guess when I feel urk'd I know I should be kinda miffed off about it.
I had a guy at the store last Saturday blow the bosses daughter a bunch of crap about something that she had no idea about and I told her I'd go from there. I was supposed to put a stand together but it had been so busy it was one of those out of sight didn't see the box, so it was out of mind type of deals. On the way out the door with the item still in the box he was not so quietly telling his son they didn't need treated like that and they would go someplace else from then on.
I was pulling the cart just ahead of them and turned and said you do realize it was an honest mistake right?...his wife was all well it's ok I said no it wasn't but we'd just been so busy all week it got out of control.. so to speak.
a few days later he came back and apologized and said it had been one of those days...which we all have them so I could relate. I never hated the guy or anything, but at the time he really was an ass smack about the whole thing, but turned out fine in the end.
