Where did y'all get your usernames from?
I got mine by thinking of a good kill line (You Killed The President) I actually started out with Absolutely Nothing, but changed it a couple days later.
Also after the next election I might have to change my name.

I am anticipating a good president, so in that case I wouldn't want it saying you killed the president.
I'm sorry to all (if any) Bush fans, but I absolutely despise him and most of the people under him.

I know you're only 18, but dang man! Forget all the lies they told you in public school and think for yourself. You won't find any sympathy here for your type.

I do think for myself, the schools dont teach us crap about politics, I have to learn all of it myself and from my parents. Why exactly do you think I don't think for myself?
EDIT: and what is my type?

Unless I'm badly misunderstanding you, you sound like a liberal. If that's true, that can only happen if someone is woefully uninformed / missinformed about almost everything that matters. Or, if someone DOES understand, and has completely embraced evil. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'm pretty sure its more a case of the former than the latter.

Well, I am neither liberal nor conservtive, or Republican or Democrat. I decide myself what I believe is right (or best, as there may not be a right) and tend to fall into both groups in different situations. And I know a lot more than a lot of people that influence my decisions regarding many subjects.
Anyways, I have a right to my own opinion right? So you shouldn't judge me on the decisions I make, even if you think they are wrong, harsh or you just plain don't like them.
Just out of curiosity, what do you feel about Bush, Lamron?

Anyways, I have a right to my own opinion right? So you shouldn't judge me on the decisions I make, even if you think they are wrong, harsh or you just plain don't like them. Yes, you have the "right" to form your own opinions. However, that doesn't mean that you don't have to defend them, or that other people can't tell you you're wrong or try to convince you of something else. "This is my opinion" is the beginning of a discussion, not the end. And your decisions and beliefs ARE what everyone will base their judgments about you on. So you'd better have a clear understanding of WHY you believe what you do, because its going to effect everything that happens to you for the rest of your life. I can understand not wanting to define yourself as Republican or Democrat (or Libertarian) if neither party expresses your beliefs exactly, but everyone is either conservative to varying degrees or some type of liberal. I'm a Republican because they're the closest of the choices, but more accurately I'm a "Constitutional Conservative". By the way, the whole concept of "we're all different, that's ok, we're all valuable, equally right individuals" is a fundamental to liberalism. And its no accident either. People are purposely taught that there isn't really any right answer, or that it doesn't matter, or that all views have equal value, so that they will feel no need to actually seek out the truth. With any real unbiased search for the truth on any issue, the liberal agenda can't stand up to the scrutiny. So they will deceive, inveigle, and obfuscate at every opportunity. As far as President Bush goes, I'm disappointed that he won't fix the problem with the Mexican border, or do anything to eliminate welfare, or reign in out-of-control agencies like the BATFE. But I am extremely glad that he was president after 9-11. No one else would have taken the fight to our enemies, or done anything effective to stop terrorist attacks. He's stayed the course, ignoring the media/democrats that keep screaming for us to surrender to the terrorists. With so many Americans consumed with hatred for the United States and working tirelessly for its destruction, he's done a good job of limiting their effectiveness and protecting the country as much as possible. His long-term vision of bringing freedom to others around the world will contribute greatly to our security (if only he'd close the borders!). I could keep on typing for pages about different issues he's had a hand in, but even on the points that I wish he had done more, or something different, we can't forget that there was no better candidate offered to us. There are definitely people who could have done better as president, but we only get to pick among the candidates offered for us to vote for. Saying that he could have done more or better is one thing, but saying he is a bad president or "the worst ever" or whatever is ridiculous. The only people saying that kind of thing are those that have had their evil desires thwarted directly or indirectly by his actions.

WOW ! What a competition of ideologies ! In a society with democratic institutions, the struggle for power can be peaceful and constructive . We just need to make sure the institutions are in order . After all the checks and balances of a democratic government were invented because we knew how unfit we were to govern ourselves . And it's highly imperfect and unstable .
