Never ask what kind of computer a person uses--if it's a Mac, he'll say; if not, why embarrass him?

LOL.
I use iListen by MacSpeech for the Mac to do dictations with. It's several generations old (for software) but my machine can't run the newer stuff. I have to do a lot of corrections, but even with those (which are frequently just pick from a clickable list of alternate words), it's faster to dictate and correct than to type out my reports.

Technology is moving the wrong direction. Instead of allowing people's random thoughts and mumblings to be easily committed to text, we should be inventing something that forces people write down, and proofread, and grammar check, everything BEFORE they say it out loud where other people can hear it.

I totally agree with that statement Lamron. Too many people/kids rely on spell check.
I wish I could afford to have my kid home-schooled. I've just have so many concerns about the direction schools are taking with tech.

There's not much cost involved in home schooling. Just takes parents willing to put in the time/effort.
