Never ask what kind of computer a person uses--if it's a Mac, he'll say; if not, why embarrass him?

Tremendous power and fluidity in that act. Just hope that girl never developes any arthritis--she'll be in for a world of hurt, the way she's been stressing her spine and pelvis.

Its not just the flexibility that's impressive. Its how many times she's taking his weight in awkward ways.

Well, yeah, I saw that, but that didn't impress me. It was almost always onto her pelvis, with her back assisting. The pelvis can handle a lot of pressure/weight/force, especially if some of the force is spread out over the backbone and muscles of the back. It's one of the reasons we have seatbelts that you wear low over the upper pelvis--in a crash, the deceleration force exerted against your body (your car hits an object in the front, you go flying forward) is by the seat belt passing that force against your pelvis, which absorbs it more slowly than your head and face and chest hitting the steering wheel/dash/window/A pillar and which spreads it out over a greater area (your whole pelvis and lower back). Plus, they both need to eat a sandwich. He's what, maybe 110 pounds dripping weight? So, not impressed with that aspect.

From the YouTube channel "On Ice Perspectives". A former competitive ice skater is wearing a stabilized camera rig and filming top skaters on the ice with them. The incredible camera work gives a up close perspective that I think makes these skaters even more impressive.

With all the cheaters and campers, there's not much point in playing on-line FPS games anymore.

Due to work, upgraded Mac OS and new Mac, and lack of interest, I just quit playing offline and online about a year ago; the only thing I was doing was COD4 on a trusted server anyway. I did recently replay Portal 1 and started Halo:Masterchief on the Windows side (via BootCamp) through Steam, but other than portal I didn't go very far with the single player game, and I didn't even look to see if there were any online multiplayer servers going. About a week ago, though, I was cleaning out some files in my downloads folder and came across the downloads from a couple years back of Bungie's masterpiece FPS the Marathon Trilogy (from 1994 through 1996), running via an updated game engine (as I understand it, Aleph One). It has free downloads of all three games (Marathon, Marathon:Durandal, and Marathon:Infinity) for the current Mac OS and for Windows and Linux! And free. They're multilevel maps of FPS human vs. aliens/robots/clones in both colony ship and dirstside settings, lots of shooting and exploring and problem solving (for example, finding the necessary switches to throw, timed just right to make the 7 moving platforms line up so that the player can run/jump across to reach a doorway, etc.), with pretty cool weapons. The graphics do not seem backward, but of course don't have the detailed blades of grass waving (a la COD4), but once the play starts, that kind of thing doesn't matter). LAN parties can be set up for multiplayer maps, and there are probably a few servers running for it online, too, but I haven't looked. There are many scenarios and conversions that can be downloaded for additional single player or LAN fun. So, if you want something interesting and fun to do, give it a go! I love it. alephone.lhowon.org/

Anybody else have trouble with dialog and thought they were losing their hearing?

That video was spot-on for my experience! Although the video was very clear and easy to listen to without closed captioning, I have had for years to use closed captioning on all my tv watching, and occasionally on youtube videos (when available). My "smart" tv has small speakers that are at the rear bottom of the unit, and I kept turning up the volume to try to hear the dialog clearly, and I used the "smart" settings for "clear voice" preference, etc. and turned down the bass portion and up the treble portion, but I still couldn't understand about 25% of dialog, and then the speakers started giving a lot of fuzz or static or vibration (? maybe a speaker ruptured?). I could reset the tv and it would be better, but only for a few days, which suggested some software issues (tv or streaming platform or both). Outputting the sound to my stereo receiver gave good sound, especially through the 5+1 speakers attached, but it was cumbersome to keep switching back and forth from TV sound to receiver output (wife had to have her CD's playable through the receiver without her having to switch any settings). Using bluetooth earpieces and headphones works nicely, most of the time, but after a while, the earpieces and headphones are uncomfortable and the batteries need to be recharged. But at least I can watch tv with the bluetooth devices on while the wife listens to her CD's through the stereo receiver system. However, the solution that has been the best for me is that I bought a SOUND BAR to sit under the front of the TV, with a separate subwoofer on the floor in front of the tv, and have the TV sound automatically always going to the sound bar. Now I have super good sound with nice bass, I can change the volume of treble and bass and subwoofer all independently, and it's totally clear dialog, plus now the music from movies and streaming is great! And when I want to listen while the wife is in bed or listening to her CD's, I just use the bluetooth pieces (and the soundbar is shut off automatically). I use an AppleTV and an Amazon Fire Cube and, via cable, a cable box, all on a separate HTML channel to my tv and easily switchable by remote, to watch/listen to everything, including any network shows I record on the DVD and watch later (to skip commercials and not have to wait days or months or a year before the shows are available on streaming platforms, such as the latest season of Yellowstone, which wasn't available on Paramount+ yet). The sound bar was on sale through Amazon at christmas time for about $190, and it's a Samsung, like my TV, so they play together well, and all I needed for the TV to sound bar connection was an optical cable (came with the sound bar), and all other HTML cables and settings stayed the same. However, despite the great sound now, I still watch with closed captioning always on, so I don't miss unexpected words or quickly stated important words (such as not, or had, or a name or an object).

OMG, I agree. HOWEVER....The performance enhancing drugs/clothing scandal that takes place in the future should prove laughable as well lol On a side note, totally unrelated, Know any 10 acre plots for sale, maybe low altitude mountains, small town, good gun store, people that know what tide pods are for? Edit: Don't misunderstand me though, My Beavis $ Butthead-O-Meter is going off
