The key clues to what I'm looking for may or MAY NOT include the folloing information that leads to the name of the song and group, but Lamron did it before so lets try it again...
Info (words) I have during time period:
...skill ... ...dry and pail... try to get you high...
previous info may or may not be relevant/accurate as I was cleaning my garage and almost killed myself looking for a writing utensil...ugh (my toe'ee) lolol
usually listen to talk radio but in garage and hockey or foozball was on AM so I was on FM.
Last clues I had before tripping and falling over random things lol
Know the tune?

Keep your smart phone with you at all times, and whip out the SoundHound app to ID unknown songs. I do it all the time while watching TV shows to ID the snatches of music playing in the scenes.
But I bet that's Seether's Remedy.
Found it by searching for "dry and pale" (not pail)

EXCELLENT! That's it thankyou.
...and yes the search for pale instead of pail changed everything.
Maybe someday I'll get a phone but have no need to for it especially after my recent experience setting up a tablet for my son to play a few games on.
The first one didn't work right and sent me to the edge to where I wanted to take it out to the garage, stick it in the vice and break it in half.
After getting the replacement I just can't believe how privacy invading these devices are. My son is used to ads on some of the free website games, but every app want to know where you are, who you are, some want you signed into something, access to this or that.
Luckily I found a logout app when I'm done doing something for him on it. I don't understand why children are being given cellphones.
Frankly, I'm shocked nothing asked for a urine sample while doing anything on it.
sry for ranting I had a vein pop when you said "App" lol

+1 for SoundHound. I use it all the time.
You can also tell Google that you are looking for lyrics specifically. Google is also smart enough to know you used the wrong "pail".
Type:
lyrics: dry and pale
Or
lyrics: dry and pail

Frankly, I'm shocked nothing asked for a urine sample while doing anything on it. I will eventually move up from my iPhone 4s to a 7 or 8, but I think the 6s has biometric log-in---you have to put your thumbprint on it, or something, and I don't really want that, unless I can disable it. And those invasive "location services" apps, major? You can turn off that portion of using those app, you don't have to give up your location or personal info. And I don't use apps or sites that require me to look at ads. If I can't suppress them and they're annoying, I don't use those sites/ads. Google is ok, but I don't like how they manipulate the search algorithms to pop up paid "hits" on your search.

That's the part that's really disappointing Redrock, we adults can handle all that stuff but kids end up with it too. But yes I do have the tracking stuff turned off, however, I'm sure most parents don't even bother... The pain in the rear part is his game needs updating all the time, so I have to log in to google so the thing can update what it's wanting, and that's the big problem I have, you can't just , do stuff on it, it HAS to be logged into something to do anything useful on it. I did just get a busted tablet from someone, going to see it it will function enough to use Archbang which would be nice

Ok, I tried different lyrics searches with this one but turns up nothing.
Think you might have luck with this one?
It wasn't in the comments either, bummer

From my search, it doesn't appear to be commercially available music. I believe its a mix made just for that video.

Yeah, my searches weren't making much sense either, thanks for looking though.

The plug-in necessary to see that/hear that is "blocked" for me, so I can't hear it from this forum, nor from the direct link provided. Do you have an alternate way for me to hear it, or can someone tell me how to get around the blocked plug-in? I don't even know what plug-in is blocked or needed.

Its just a YouTube inbed. If you can see the video box, right click and select "Copy Video URL". Paste it in the address bar to go directly there.
If your blocked plug-in message prevents you from doing that, hit "Quote" on his post and you'll see the raw text of the message. You should be able to find the address in there and then close the page so you don't actually post a quote reply.

I did the right click stuff and it opened a box to update flash player. I did that and now I see the video. Thanks!
