Yours is way more interesting though, mine was from Nigeria, and in my experience OR knowledge, the only things that come from Nigeria are

If they blast those emails out to 80 million random email accounts, and get just a handful of suckers, they still make a ton of easy money. Most are in a foreign country and no way we could catch and prosecute them. One guy I got to correspond a bit with me, and I told him I didn't want to do it blindly, to a person I didn't even know was alive on the other end (hoping to hook him in), and asked him to call me, but he wouldn't. I gave as my number to call....the Washington DC FBI office!
