New PayPal Policy = CANCELED

I stopped using PayPal awhile ago, after someone sent me an incorrect amount for something and I refunded it (several hundred dollars). PayPal wanted to charge me 3% for the non-transaction. I got them on the phone and argued with them for a long time. I told the person I was talking to I was going to send one million dollars to his personal account and then get a refund so he would get stuck with a $30,000 fee. Asked him if he would be fine with that. I fought up the chain of idiots until I got someone to credit the fee back. I took all my money out, and removed any reference anywhere that would let someone send me money, and left the account dormant.

New update to their policy now says they can pull $2500 from your account if you say anything they don't like. If this makes your account go negative they will just pull the money from your attached bank account. So I shut down my account completely and deleted all my transaction history. No more PayPal ever for me!

i just transferred my 15.05 to my bank 1-3 days no fee.
I'll close it then.
I don't really like using this digital money stuff when politics get mixed in.
This paperless billing crap needs to stop too...

I just got to thinking, I never used it but once or twice to get something on ebay, So I only put money in it when I was going to use it...
Never had much to spend on anything...it's why I build shit out of stuff people throw out
...left it at like 2 or 3 bucks for like 10 years or more, then I was needing something bad at the time, was short few bucks and I think I left like 5 cents in there, and some time went by year or so maybe,and they actually put 5 bucks in it and sent me an email saying a gift from paypal blah blah blah. whatever, then couple months ago put 10 in..whatever
Didn't occur to me they might be up to something unless it was an effort to get me to use the account and make them money somehow, just never had a use for it other than once or twice.
AH it does have one actual history, last card I used it was in 2013 from an expired card, so yeah 10'ish years ago used last, and out of the blue they put 10 bucks in.

That might not sound like much to most people, but MY personal spending money is 20 bucks every 2 weeks. I cash my paychecks, I pull out 20 bucks, rest goes to the wife and she budgets the money. What makes me mad is when she penny pinches a 3VDC led light over a fishtank or shuts off the motion detector light if it's in the on position during the day... Just venting a bit......(pulls hair)

Sounds like you need either a new job or a new wife. $20 doesn't buy much ammo these days.

I wasn't trying to dump or complain, just trying to put in perspective how little I used paypal.
My wife was previously married and had a rough time. It just seemed best to let her do the budget to make sure bills got paid. I don't really go anyplace other than work.
Doesn't mean I don't get a new toy here and there, but it's usually something for the house like the custom camera & mesh system I put up last year.
However, the karma demon decided this year we needed a new water heater & after 18 years, had to get a new truck too, probly the last one I'll ever own lol.
So I try not to have too much fun knowing a few new windows are in the forecast at some point.
I should get some ammo that isn't 30 years old though haha
