Here's a test link to see how it shows in your browser. nvidia.com∕updates∕critical∕may2023∕@attachment.zipIdeally, it should look odd in your browser. Also, Avast blocks you from clicking on it. Other anti-virus might do the same. This is what I pasted into this post. https://nvidia.com∕updates∕critical∕may2023∕@attachment.zip
For me, the "https://" doesn't show, and when I hover over the link the bottom edge of my browser shows the "redirct.viglink.com". I'm using Firefox on Win7. The "redirct.viglink.com" is part of the forum software. Every time you click a commercial link in the forum, the website gives Proboards credit for the referral. Its annoying because it hides the actual destination of the link. Fortunately, the forum is smart enough to not allow fake website names in displayed links. If you put this into HTML, it should display the "google" text, but send you to the href address. This is standard HTML that will work on any website. [a href="https://lamronverse.com/homepage/"]www.google.com[/a]
However, Proboards overrides this. www.google.com (I entered the same HTML as above) will take you to the DISPLAYED website name, not the href as expected.
