If you ever watch YouTube Shorts, its easy to keep scrolling to the next video and kill a bunch of time. But they put so much junk over the small video that you can't see the bottom third of it. So I figured out a solution. If you are using uBlock Origin to block ads there is a way to fix it. If you AREN'T using uBlock Origin, then you're doing the internet wrong. Open the dashboard and go to the "My Filters" tab. At the bottom of the list add this: www.youtube.com##.ytd-reel-video-renderer.style-scope.overlay

I occasionally get lost in those shorts. But...."dashboard"? I don't know that. If it's a setting on youtube itself, I suspect I'd have to sign into youtube or google (and stay signed in) to make a setting change that will last from visit to visit, and I refuse to sign in. If it's a setting on my browser, it's one I've never used/heard of. But I do like the effect of your script, so I'll consider it.

I meant the dashboard for the uBlock Origin extension. That needs to be installed first, to block all adds. Its available for several of the most popular browsers. ublockorigin.com/
