The crosshairs disappeared? I've never had that happen...wonder if its just a cod2 thing? And what's with zooming your sights??? You get eagle eyes when aiming? Geez, modders...
Remember that gameplay may be different in multiplayer Don't start creating your mod list until you start whacking real players!

I haven't done any research into the matter, but I've heard from several who prefer cod1 and its UO expansion to cod2. I don't know if it mods better or what. Anyone?

I tried COD a while back and it was OK, but I wasn't really impressed. COD2 looks and plays great though. Whenever you move or fire, your crosshairs completely dissappear. When you switch to iron sights there is a slight zooming effect.

I've been playing COD" finished the game side , hated the kick outs coz some player of my side walks into my line of fire, but over all a good game. The MULTI side of it is ok but seems to lack that something, the maps are cool though, noticed one thing the game is really mem hungry. My poor sink was doing its best to keep the vid card cool.

Lam, are those crosshair, etc. changes you made the kind of thing the average person can change on his own computer, that would be playable on any server? I have been just putting a tiny postit note piece in the crosshairs center to know where I'm aiming when I'm moving, but from practice, I believe that not only is the aimpoint not being shown, but the accuracy is greatly (purposely) decreased by the game engine when you're moving. And I agree that the crosshairs is ridiculous and totally unrealistic. Yes, your aim will decreas, but humans are very adaptable and know how to keep a weapon basically on target even while moving, in many cases, so I resent this game engine setting and would love to be able to work around it. Would it be a hack that a server would detect and kick us for using?

I can change it server side (effects all players), but any client side addition of a stationary crosshair would be a cheat. While researching how to change the crosshair settings I found several sites offering this hack. I don't know if servers can detect it or not.

The extreme loss of accuracy and the expanding (and dissappearing) crosshairs is stupid. But you'll have to play on a server that has changed it so effects all players. Anything else would be taking an unfair advantage.

I played briefly when we had a server, still didn't think much of it other than it was pretty and I was still playing the maps from CoD. How is the SP in CoD2? I thought the SP in CoD was fantastic, but I never found the time to play CoD2's SP (though I did just find my receipt from a year ago) ....

dont have cod2 just got cod 1 for xmas ... only played a few missions and a few multiplayer ... not sure if i like it yet cause i die even faster than on moh lmao... but if you in your devine wisdom decide to switch lk to cod2 ill pony up the coinage to get it just so i can play with you crazy psycopatic killers... and we will all learn Lam's mods together.. lol.. laters

Even with all my MoH experience, I was still getting fragged at an unbelievable rate when I started playing COD multiplayer. I was unfamiliar with the game, and just like every other noobie I began to suspect people of cheating. I never said anything, of course!

Once I got used to the aiming function, I realized that shooting without shouldering the weapon could often be very wild. Shouldering my weapon (aiming down the sights) when practical greatly improved my scores, I am now pasting berzerkers with the rifle, and I am being accused of cheating again! Ah, now that's more like it! ;D
