Sir Shootsalot made mention of this. What are the chances of making a flame thrower. I know you have alot of other stuff going on ,but its something to think about.

Actually, LP did have a flamethrower for a while! It was in Stadt2. It had an unrealistic, VERY long range. I don't recall why Lamron scrapped it, though.

Boy, I know why the flamer was scrapped! It was unrealistic to the max---long, long range, all the way acrosss courtyards and into buildings, even burned through walls and floors, and it seemed as if once you started burning, you couldn't get away (not like you can with mustard gas). Lam used this unmercifully on me one night in the custom map when we were all alone, in Gallenafallenstadtawhatsisname2. I don't miss it. On RTCW, it always seemed to me to be a coward's weapon, btw. (All this assumes, of course, that we don't have some evil boy genius as our SuperServerDude that COULD script the flamer down to something workable, if he wanted.)
You know, now that I remember it, the other night I actually, for the first time, beat Lam (and quite handily, too) in that same map 1 on 1. Course, no one was around to see it, sooo, as HE said, NO WITNESSES = IT NEVER HAPPENED.
RE: the Leggos/Escher picture: Gorgeous, Lam!!!!! Except it's how I feel whenever we play Oseidle!!!!
Cheers, guys! Work is kicking my butt, don't know when I'll get some concentrated play time soon, and I've got some out-of-town time coming, too, so you'll see me when you see me.

I've noticed that occassionally Lamron is very much like a cat toying with its prey...
Sometimes I'll be beating him up pretty good, and make some smart comment about it. On one or two of those occassions (you know, the ones where he didn't set me to spinning or turn me into a legless koala), he promptly began taking me to school and pounded me unmercifully. I'm in awe of his skills and tactics, and have learned to be humble if I happen to be in the lead in his presence! ;D

I wonder if the "place anywhere" prox mines really could be placed anywhere, or rather, at least on a wall or surface above the ground, within arm's reach of wherever players can get to in a map? It could perhaps be done (he said, not actually knowning a thing about scripting MOH, but saying it anyway, as he did stay in a Holiday Inn Express sometime last year) as a 4th grenade setting, using the crosshair to set where it will be attached.
Or maybe a version of Lam's low red tripwire could be modified to be an individual boobytrap that could be set anywhere a player could reach? What if these were on the map the way the jetpacks are, a small supply box or two, each containing a trip wire that could be picked up, carried away, and deployed at will as a trap. The supply box would reappear after the tripwire is used up, just as the jetpack disappears off the wall when taken but reappears when exhausted or the possessing player dies.
For comparison, there are such explosives in Deus Ex, Unreal, and StarTrek Voyager, the latter having some mods with "tripwires" stretched from one end of an explosive to another across a door or hallway; I think I've seen this too in some RTCW mods, I think with the engineer setting it with the wirepliers just as with simply arming dynamite.
Currently, people know where to look for prox mines but only where someone's feet could have trod on the map. This might spice it up a bit.
Just an idea.

Hey guys.I have seen a flame thrower for this game and it was on a map called "supply depot",what you had to do to use it was find it like the jet packs ,because it was already on the map, and drop your main weapon and pick it up and you were off burning people.I heard how you described the flame thrower that you had once and this is nothing like it the flames don't go as far as you said.and you can move out of it but you burn for awhile like the stuff was on your clothes .It was pretty cool .just thought I would mention it .hope i might of helped in some small way.see you on the battle field. Sir Redrock ...that has a nice ring to it . ;D I dunno, SirNader, after your describing a flamethrower with stick-to-target napalm-like qualities, the Red in my playname coming out of your mouth makes me feel......a bit too warm for comfort. Think I'll pass on your offer to "Knight" me or annoint me with oil or anything more flammable than a cold shower!

Lamron,
For us PROC players, I think it only fitting that you add a 'California Safe Gun' to the aresenal. This 'Safe Gun' would be single-shot, small caliber, muzzle-loading (as the Founding Fathers clearly intended). It would also have a Safety Orange paint job with a large serial number plate on all parts. After finding the key for the trigger lock, the user would have to enter a 5-digit combination prior to each shot. Perhaps you can leave little battery packs lying around, like the little health bottles, so that after 5 shots, you have to find some 'health' for your firearm. The user cannot carry more than 3 rounds at any one time, and to acquire more ammunition, the user would have to go the the Ammuntion Depot to sign for and register the serial numbers of each bullet. IF the user picks up ammuntion from a fallen California NewFelon, a legion of Gun Enforcement Safety and Tactical Awareness Patrol Officers (GESTAPO) will storm the NewFelon and lock him up for the rest the night. (not game, night). The NewFelon would not be able to carry a knife with a blade longer than 2", and must have a blunt Safety Tip. No grenades and definately no smoke grenades, as they are terrible for the ozone! I think players from the United States would also come to love this NewFelon, as it would dramatically increase their score to new heights.
What do you think?
Meatgrinder Malone, California NewFelon

Meatgrinder Malone, run far and fast away from Kommiefornia. And don't look back, or you'll turn into a pillar of salt.

He may be Republican, but he's a Kalifornia Republican and a product of Hollywood. 'Nuff said.

Yes, but even a few of THEM have scruples and deeply held 2nd amendment beliefs, I just wondered where he stands (quivers? wavers?) and how much he will bend to political pressure from either side.
