LOL Hilary could fall off the face of the earth and I could care less.
The pres is the pres, but the congress and senate vote the money for the operations, effectively tyeing his hands for him. They say you do it that way and we cut them off war over. So the BS politics go on and on. Bob, weave, jab, upper cut.
I'm neither Rep or Dem. I'm Conservative. I vote my heart and so far that yes has been for the Republican.

This is gonna get me in trouble, it already has once in the forums. But I don't like Bush. I won't go into the details of why, because that could take awhile. But I don't like Bush respectfully. let me explain. If I start talking to someone, and we get to to subject of politics, which normally leads to Bush, I will gladly talk to them, listen to their viewpoints, express mine, maybe have a few minds changed about some things. But I never go to extremes of just plain hating Bush, won't listen to what anyone has to say, and when I feel cornered because I don't have evidence to back it up, I just use a 5th grade comment as you so layed out for us with your ______'s. I'm not gonna hold back my opinions in here just because almost everyone here likes Bush. I think I should be entitled to it, as so all of you are entitled to like him. Now I'm gonna be turning 19 in 2 days, and I saw somewhere to be a Conservative at 25 is to have no heart, to be a liberal at 40 is to have no brain, something along those lines. And I think that is true, the older you get the more Conservative you get. And I think I will probably follow that path to an extent. But I an a liberal in the sense that I think we need to take serious action against global warming, but I am for the death penalty and (within reason) for abortion. I consider myself a person, I think about things and chose which side to be on. I'm not strictly dem, or rep. I tend to lean towards dem. It bugs me when people want to know, black or white what I am. Because its not that cut and dry for me. Those are normally the people I try talking to, but give up after 2min because they tell me things, but then won't listen to what I have to say. I've talked to some people and they've convinced me that Bush wasn't quite as bad as I had thought at the time, and I have also convinced the same people that he is worse than what they had thought. I would bet that some of you are tearing your hair out right now. But if that is you, please don't talk to me, because that means you have a closed mind and whatever I say is the wrong thing anyways. Wow this turned out longer than I had planned. Oh well. So I will be happy to discuss this topic further, who knows, maybe I will change my mind, maybe I'll change yours. You never know til you try it. EDIT: Refer to current events section to respond to this. I have started a new thread there. PRES: Sounds like a good way to live to me... Always think for yourself & don't worry about those who tell you are wrong. You will figure it out

blah blah ..... BEER TIME!
Oh and I liked Billy Bob Clinton.
I do believe this war is horribly mismanaged...and being a Navy vet who was there I think I have earned the right to say so. I support the troops I just dont support the leaders. This war has been from the beginning about money and politics and until the "United" States people unite against the BS and quit sending our young boys to fight and die for something they or we have no business being involved in,then noone has the right to gripe but the souls of those who have been lost and the families they left behind.

Seriously... there are almost 310,000,000 people in the United states. How could we ever all agree on something? Of course there will always be people unhappy with the leadership.

I respect your opinion Beer even if I do not agree with it. The war in my opinion is about keeping the terrorists from coming here in overwhelming force and reeking havoc here.
I feel I also have a right to pipe up on the issue as I have a son that is leaving for the Marines next month. Signing up of his own fee will to protect his family and his country. I'm so very proud of him and the choice he has made, I could just pop my buttons. Yes I fear for his safety. God forbid the worst happens at least I will know he died fighting for what he believes in.
As MM said we can not please all the people all the time.
Vin... I'm not telling President he is wrong.. I'm telling him that we have a different opinion about the matter, and supporting it with my opinion.
Be well my friends, and with that I will let this thread die out if I can. I don't want to cause any hard feelings. Never meant for it to grow like this. Was only trying to say sorry to those that were in game at the time I popped my cork, and inflicted my views upon some one that was bad mouthing our President. Be assured that I am not mad and love a good debate.

I agree that a person shouldn't have a right to gripe about things if they didn't vote. And by saying that I just said I can't gripe about anything. But I was also only... 15 I think last election. But because I couldn't vote, I talked to a lot of people about their choice. I don't know if I changed anybodies mind, because it was their right not to tell me who they ended up voting for. My own parents wouldn't even tell me. But I think I did what I could givin my age and have earned the right to gripe about things. I also will be old enough, and plan on voting this next election. And DS, there are no hard feelings. I don't think anybody is a bad person because of their believes. I don't think ripping out a young girls hair one by one is a good way to have her become a women, but I don't think that everyone in that religion is a bad person because of that. I just have a different mind set when I think about a girl becoming a women. And I also agree that its not Bush who is mismanaging the war, it is politics in general. We did the same thing in Vietnam (at least of what I know about it). We micromanaged the war from halfway across the world. We need to tell the generals their mission, and let them decide and let them coordinate with other generals of how to carry it out. Like how wars used to be fought.

I meant no disrespect to your age... I was talking about the people old enough to vote but chose not too, and foreigners that want to hash on our President.

I think 30 should be the voting age, personally, and I'm serious.

I think 30 should be the voting age, personally, and I'm serious. I agree 100%. I did not begin to see things clearly until my 30's. All the time before that I just thought my dad was a dumbass. ;D Now I see that everything he tried to teach me was right on target.

I think 30 should be the voting age, personally, and I'm serious. I think we should expect people to act like adults and be responsible enough to support themselves and their families at 15. There's no physical reason why this shouldn't be true, people just live down to the low expectations of our society.
