Watch the entire Firefly series first. There was only one season, fourteen episodes long. Rent the DVDs. Then, after you've watched all of those and are emotionally invested in the characters (and are devastated that it was canceled), it will be time to watch the movie Serenity. It answers alot of questions and ties everything together. Don't watch them out of order! It sure doesn't take us long to get a thread off-topic! ;D Great minds think alike! Gorgeous picture, Lam, the cast one. Where did you get it? And Silly, Serenity (the Firefly movie) came out 2005. People, DO NOT WATCH Serenity UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN THE SERIES! While it is a standalone movie, and you don't have to watch the series first, trust us, you will enjoy it far more after you've done the series! And I recommend you use closed captions (text) while you watch the series, due to the mix of chinese and western jingo, at least until you get a feel for the series and the characters. Then come tell us your favorite character and quote. I just loved Mel, with lines such as, "I live on the edge. I been thinking about moving to the middle." And Wash, with "I curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"

Yeah, thats what I thought it was.... wasn't completely sure though. I've never actually seen it, but people keep telling me I should. I just never get around to it. I'm surprised I was actually right about something for once Yes, you were correct Prez, however, I was a little off with my estimate for how old the movie was. I definitely agree with Lamron & Red about watching the full season of "Firefly" (the type of ship they zipped around in) before you watch the movie "Serenity", (ship name). I always seem to do things backwards and watched the movie first, mainly because I never new the TV show existed. I was lucky enough to get to see some re-runs on a Saturday afternoon (I think that they ran 6 episodes in a row). I was riveted and that was that. ;D Off topic again? Well, as long as we are all ready off topic, did anyone else like that Sci Fi channel series, "Far Scape"? Another show that used a lot of sarcasm quite well.

I have actually seen the first 4 or 5 episodes of Firefly. My Aunt owns the series, so I can only watch them when I visit her. But shes told me the exact same things you guys have told me. Watch the series first, and you'll enjoy the movie much more.

I recently bought the Farscape series on DVD and have watched now about 13 episodes of the first season; the ep I just finished is a two parter (where Crichton is captive of Scorpius in his pain/memory chair) and I look forward to the conclusion; it's the best episode so far. Most of them have been very cheesy as regards plot, acting, and props/effects. But, I assume it will both get better and grow on me. It's definitely not up to Babylon 5 or FireFly standards, though.

LOL Maybe it's Crichton with his wit and sarcastic digs. Maybe it's Chiana with her sassy, sexy and reckless attitude that help make the other characters bearable. Since you just started watching it and the episodes are still fresh in your memory, maybe you can tell me why I found it so entertaining.

Saw that yesterday on the news. Figured it would not be too long until he came to his senses and started producing a model the unwashed masses could afford. I heard rumors that it is multi network capable. Do you know if that is true Red? (you are our go too guy for all things Apple and Mac) LOL.

LOL, DS, but homey don't play that! I have no idea what "multi-network capable" means (I'll have to look it up after work).
