BUT Lam's simple solution would likely work really well. By moving the board to the right I could use the Merc keys with my right hand and use the mouse with my left as I do now.... Damn that was a simple solution that I totally missed. I guess that is why he is the Benevolent Dictator of all of us lesser Lamronians I hold the patent on that idea, so if you want to use it we'll have to work out a licensing contract.

I just bought a new mouse myself. I had the MS Wireless Laser 6000 which I like a lot, but the scroll wheel started sticking, so I went to replace it and found the latest version to be the "Natural" MS Wireless Laser 6000. This "natural" mouse is taller than the other and is designed to turn the wrist more to the right, sort of like a handshake position, rather than a flat palm down position, to move pressure away from the wrist (carpal tunnel) area and to the small-finger side of the hand, to alleviate/prevent carpal tunnel. www.everythingusb.com/microsoft_natural_wireless_laser_mouse_6000.html My first impression is that I have to move my thumb a further distance from its resting slot to the (left-side) thumb buttons compared to the old mouse but that the position of the wrist does feel better. Of course, it's not my mouse hand that has the carpal tunnel problem, its the left one (keyboard one), despite soft gel pads, etc. I have no weakness or tingling, etc. in the fingers, just some discomfort and tingling at the heel of the palm (nearly constant). I cannot tell any lag at all while playing and using my wireless mouse. After I've used this for a while, I'll give some more feedback if there's anything more to add.

Buying a new mouse is hard. You can fondle them in the store, but it takes a couple of days of real use to tell if its going to work for you. I find it hard to tell if something feels "bad" or just "different". Of course, it's not my mouse hand that has the carpal tunnel problem, its the left one (keyboard one), despite soft gel pads, etc. I have no weakness or tingling, etc. in the fingers, just some discomfort and tingling at the heel of the palm (nearly constant) Try changing the height of your chair. Sometimes a small change in the angle of your elbow and wrist will make a difference. I don't think there's really a best postion, you'll get sore in any postion after too long. Moving around seems to help.

Razer never could get the Death Adder to work properly (it kept locking up on me) and emailed me an RMA to send it back. I decided to return it (and the Tarantula) to Best Buy instead.
In doing some net searching I decided to buy the Microsoft Reclusa keyboard. I have always really liked Microsoft Keyboards, and this one is back-lit making it more appealing to me.
In searching everywhere for a lefty friendly mouse, I have decided that there are really only two options out there, the Razer Copperhead (both hands version) and the Saitek GM3200dpi gaming mouse like the one that DS chose. Given my bad luck with the Razer and the fact that the Saitek has weights to make it heavier (the Death Adder was WAY too light for me) I am ordering the Saitek GM3200dpi mouse.
