Had ME...
hated it so bad I converted to Linux for a few years until XP came out.
silly ... dude.. if you put any more gas on that fire I'm going to shove you into it..... LMAO
I wonder if the problems with vista are from the different versions of vista.. Laptop came with premium editon on it.. maybe the basic home version is crap.

I have a puter coming this morning and I am installing Vista Home Premium on it, this will be my first full look at it. I am not interested in it due to the fact of too much incompatibilities with various software I have.

I have the Premium edition, and yes, with the new operating system, many software companies needed to upgrade their products if their software was running in the Windows environment.
There are some real neat things in the new Vista operating system. For instance when you might have some programs running and you minimize them down to the task bar, hold your cursor over the program in the task bar and it will show you a little photo of that minimized screen.
Another neat feature was when I held the cursor over a very small picture, it actually re-sized it temporarily so that I could see it easier. We just need to wait until Microsoft gets more of the little annoying bugs out. twiddling fingers

it looked good on install..(but it reminded me of Ubantu Linux GUI)...I just hated all the questions. As long as my friend is happy ...it doesn't matter. Was just alot to get used to...totally different interface from what I seen...sooner or later the rest of us are not going to have a choice when XP is redundant. I used to use this program for updating systems..was way easier..but the man(Gates) saw fit to do something.. www.autopatcher.com/

Was way cool ... didn't get to see everything I wanted too... wife was to busy and nervous too stay in one spot long enough too see allot.. Plus we had the son with us after the EGA (eagle globe anchor) ceremony.
BTW if any of you are lucky enough to get to witness a Marine EGA, DON'T MISS IT!!!!. Grown men were crying their eyes out as they received the symbol that signifies that they are now Marines, and no longer recruits.
Got some pics will post them up as soon as I dl them out of my camera... See ya guys soon.
