How long could you last with no cell phone or E-Mail or Internet?

I only use the internet to check up on my usual websites, google research, and check my email. I don't really "surf" the net. Sadly though, I don't think I would last 3 days without the urge to check and see if I missed anything lol....
My cell phone, I really only use it to make my commute go by faster to and from work. It's really not that important to me, unless I got stuck on the side of the road in this Artic weather we're having now.
OK fine, I say that now while I still have them...but, take them away and I'll probably be crying tomorrow!

I have to admit, I've become addicted to information. There are several MOH and gun forums that I follow and visit 2-3 times a day. I watch TV with a laptop in front of me so I don't miss anything by running to check the internet. I've gotten so used to being able to instantly satisfy my curiosity on any question or any subject that I become mildly interested in, that I don't think I could give it up.
There's been two occasions where I forgot to grab my cell phone, or the battery died and I didn't have the car charger with me. I drive most of the day, so I immediately felt isolated from the rest of the world. I think I would have rather forgotten to put pants on than forget my phone. LOL

I use computers at home and work daily. I use my Blackberry daily. The Blackberry is the only phone I have. I see no reason to pay for a home phone when I always have my Blackberry at my side. My wife also has a cell phone. I cannot imagine a time when I will not have my Blackberry and a computer of some sort in easy reach. My wife and I take at least three weeks of vacation every year. I used to have to take my laptop with me to check email, etc. But this past October I successfully took a one week trip with NO computer. I was only able to do this because I had recently obtained the Blackberry. I felt naked without the laptop, but I survived just fine. I will admit that I did stop at an Internet cafe for 15 mins though while away to use the Internet.

I too am a info junkie..
I would have gone stark raving mad these last 2 months with out the internet while sitting home on medical leave.
I have the date marked on my calendar for the day I can get a new cell phone next week.. I'm Very excited to get a newer more powerful cell phone.
I too have walked off and thought I had my phone with me only to find out later on down the road that I forgot it. That was not a pleasant feeling.

I quit smoking in April of 2007.
I refuse to give up anything else for the rest of my life so don't even go there.

No one carries cash anymore either...all plastic. I am only 38 but I remember having to go to the bank to get cash for the weekend in the days prior to plastic cards.

I always carry a few bucks on me, less than $100. But mostly I use a debit card for everything. I have credit crds but do not use them. I do not want the interest debt.

Actually, I notice that when I visit the U.S our debit cards (Canadian) are not accepted at all merchants. I guess our definition of "debit" cards are different. When I use my debit card, the funds come directly out of my bank account. I pay the bank $2 per month for the ability to use my debit card an unlimited amount of times.Technically, I can buy a house with my debit card. The people that I spoke with in the U.S have informed me that their debit cards are usually associated with a credit card company. Are any of my U.S friends able to clarify how they work down there?
