Cool, glad you found some enjoyment from it. As I went back and looked over what I had originally said, I forgot to mention that this is not the actual Scorched Earth game, but something kind of similar. The Scorched Earth game had up to 10 players playing at once. Each had a tank or something else that shot large caliber rounds. I can't remember how many different types of shells there were but we could shoot, Nukes, rolling bombs, missiles, Funky bombs, and even additional earth to bury other player's tanks. The big weapon, and this weapon was usually outlawed by all players at the start of the game because it killed almost everything in one shot, was the Death's Head. At the peak of it's arched trajectory, it broke up into 7 smaller nukes and basically cleared the board of all life. What was really neat about this game was that there were many different variables that you could change or set up. You could change the wind speeds change the four sides of the screen to rubber, or even spring walls, so that when a shell hit one of the four perimeter sides, it picked up speed. There was also a thing called Guidance to be used with pretty much any shot. Each round gave everyone a certain amount of money, depending on how long they lasted in the previous round. Players would then buy the weapons and such before each round. You had to guess your trajectory, power of shot, bounces, angles and even the wind strength before you took your turn. The graphics of this game were equal to the old Atari tank battle game, only it was in color, lol. I really wish someone would update this game and get it to work on the newer operating systems. It would be a blast to play against people on line. I think that the last operating system this game worked on was Windows 98. It was a total blast to play! OH COOL! It looks like that may actually happen from what I saw in Wikipedia. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorched_Earth_(computer_game)The link is broken because of the parentheses so copy the entire link and past it in your address bar. (Modification)I just found a link to a site where you can play the game without downloading or installing it. Make sure that when you set up the game, you give yourself $100,000 so that you can buy some larger weapons. www.scorch2000.com/
