I had a few questions about this OS. I figured I'd ask here first, maybe get some first hand reviews instead of going online.
My first question is, does anybody even have the ultimate edition?
Second is, was it even worth my money to upgrade to Ultimate, as opposed to Basic or Premium. I know Ultimate has a bunch of extra features, but how useful have they actually been?
And third, is there a benefit to installing the 64bit as opposed to the 32bit. I only have 3gb of memory, so the 32bit will handle that. I seem to recall a thread that talked about the 64bit as it relates to memory. But I don't remember if it talked about the other differences of 64bit.
From my experience with Vista, it is a PIECE OF CRAP!!!!! But I thought the Ultimate might be better than the Home Basic I've had experience with.
Thanks in advance for the help. I'm sure I'll get a bunch of links without doing any work.... I mean.... you're not my slaves, what are you talking about. We are all buddies here and I treat you all equal.

Thats a good piece of info there, thanks Lam.
It doesn't actually help me at this point because I already purchased Vista Ultimate from Sager with my laptop, and I would assume, like most companies, they won't actually give me the Vista disk.
But I'll let other people know who are buying the OS seperately.

Pres,
What model Sager did you get? I am considering purchasing one from xotic-pc in a few weeks. Please be sure to let us all know what you think of the equipment. I know I'll greatly appreciate it.

I'm getting the NP2092. I posted the specs in a different thread, I'll repost them here for you. <start thread hijack> I'll be getting a new Sager laptop in the next couple days, so I should be back on by the weekend. Its only been a year since the last time I've played. So take it easy on me Its not top of the line, but its pretty good. Here are the specs. CPU: 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo, 3mb L2 Cache, 2.1ghz, 800mhz bus Video: Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 512mb DDR2 OS: Vista Ultimate RAM: 3GB (1x1024, 1x2048) HDD: 100GB 7,200rpm Thats really the only interesting specs. Only 1,400 for the whole thing. Alienware was 1,700 for the same specs. </end thread hijack> I should be getting it either Monday or Tuesday. So I should have a first thoughts review by the weekend.
