Read the new skin menu email and website instructions--Lamron, the instructions look very well done. Clearly, you have put quite a bit of thought and time into this. THANK YOU. When I have time after work I will do the install/binding stuff and take it for a drive. I am curious, though.......when I deleted my previous skin files, they were listed as version 3 (zzzzLPmenuV3-1.pk3, to be precise, dated Jan. 14, 2005). So, is this really v4? Or have you pulled a Bill Gates on us, and this is service pack 15 or build 32 or release 3.1.7.a.9 or what? LOL! ;D

Ok, I have to admit your post has me laughing my head off! LOL ;D In the first sentence, you mention the "very well done" instructions. Then you FAIL to read them carefully. You deleted the wrong file. You deleted zzzzLPmenuV3-1 when you should have deleted LPmemberskinsV2. You should have TWO files from me (besides maps): zzzzLPmenuV3-1.pk3 --contains server menu and ez-connect box on multi-player options screen. zzLPskinsV3.pk3 --contains all the skins, client skin menus, throwing knife files. Anything that that has a lower version number than these should be deleted. E-mail me if you need a link to replace the menu file. ;D As you can see, I have not lost my ability to number versions properly! LOL

I am sooooo glad I made your day, again, Lamron! I read and attempted to follow the directions, but I didn't see any other files to delete such as the one you say is the skins, although I did notice the large size (19 Mb) of the new file--I just figured you'd gotten the menu and the skins together as one file. I'll have to check my folders and files later to find what you're talking about--I'm using a foreign, evil machine now, unfortunately. And while I used the word "delete," I didn't delete the files--I made a new folder to hold them temporarily until the dust settles. It's funny, I actually started not to use the word "delete" in my posting so no one would think me rash, but then I figured I'd get the benefit of the doubt that I wouldn't do that, so I didn't try to wordsmith it out and just said "delete" instead. Guess I figured wrong. Anyway, I will certainly do it up right and contact you if I fail. Thanks again. ;D

PROBLEM IDENTIFIED!!! DANGER, WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!!!
Well, maybe I'm over emphasizing... On the 'instructions' pop-up, the message occassionally contains a bit of script at the end. It's a tad annoying, and since it posts the message under my name, it makes me seem illiterate. I just can't have that. What ARE we going to do about this, Lamron? ? ?

Ok, all the right files are in the right place, and it is a joy to behold. As to how I messed up first time: It seems that since I was taking out a file ("zzzzRuckus_Lamron_Knives__client_.pk3") and putting in anther file ("zzLPskinsV3.pk3"), both starting with some z's, I thought I'd have to take out one (the old skins file) which would probably also be named starting with z's, and since the new file deals with skins and skin menus, that's why I deleted, or rather, temporarily moved out, the other file I previously mentioned ("zzzzLPmenuV3-1.pk3"). Turns out the "LPskinsV2" file is actually named "LPmember_SKINS_V2.pk3," and gosh darn it, not a z in its name at all! Oh well, that's why it's not named RedRocksPlayground, either!
