Mine is nothing special. When I was 14 my friends dad started calling me by my last name which is Nott. He thought I was a little crazy back in the day and he said my name should be Nut. Nutman was born shortly after that when I started playing football. Thats about it and friends and co-workers still call me it today.

When I first started playing MOH I used the "naminator" offered by Game spy to select one for me. I played as Digital Scarecrow for a while. I signed up with a clan called DOTF until the clan simply died out. I got so tired of people taking this game way too seriously and gaming on most servers just wasn't fun anymore. I played around with names like "An old blind woman" and stuff like that, so that when someone would kill me, or I would kill them, it would read like this: "so and so was killed by an old blind woman." That usually got some chuckles and calmed the games down a bit.
I tried more goofy names like that until I came up with A Silly Person, and I stuck with it.
I could have just been tired of changing it too....

Hey guys. This is my first post so I thought that I should explain ME. First of all, when I first started playing, I was playing on a laptop that was very slow. Even though I would use an smg, it felt like I was shooting a pistol because it was so slow. The PETE thing? Don't really have an answer considering my name is DAVE. I have thought of changing it now that I am better at the game, but then all of my cohorts wouldn't know who I am. I fly in a helicopter and shoot and report the news, so I thought about changing it to Chopper, but alas, I feel compelled to keep PistolPete alive.

PistolPete, I guess I'm showing my age, because I always assumed your name was in some way a reference to Pistol Pete Maravich, in my opinion one of the greatest basketball players in history, a Michael Jordon before there ever was a Michael Jordan. He was famous for his dribbling skills and fancy, sneaky passes, but he could also shoot and steal. Check out this video: and maybe the wikipedia entry en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pete_Maravich : (snippets) "Peter Press Maravich (June 22, 1947 – January 5, 1988) was a Serb-American basketball player known for his dazzling ballhandling, incredible shooting abilities, and creative passing. He learned at a very young age fundamental basketball and ball handling drills from his father coach Press Maravich. He would follow his father and coach throughout the eastern and gulf seaboards as a young man before exploding onto the NBA in his own right. Also known as "Pistol Pete", he starred in college at Louisiana State University and for three NBA teams. Maravich is still the all-time leading NCAA scorer, averaging a staggering 44.2 points per game, without the benefit of a three-point line and excluding the records of his freshman year due to the fact that when Pete was in his first year of college, the NCAA had separate freshmen and varsity basketball teams and freshmen were not allowed to play on the varsity team. It was calculated by Dale Brown that Maravich would have averaged 57 points per game with the benefit of a college three-point line." and "A few years prior to his death, Maravich said, "I want to be remembered as a Christian, a person that serves Him to the utmost. Not as a basketball player." On January 5, 1988, while warming up to play a pickup basketball game with a group that included Focus on the Family head James Dobson, he collapsed and died of a heart attack at the age of only 40. An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a rare congenital heart defect; he had been born with only one coronary artery instead of the normal two."

lol...sorry to disappoint those of you that thought my name had a more impressive meaning, but alas, it doesn't. As far as the basketball player....ummmm....no. I'm only 5'7" and not a good baller. Football on the other hand is my thang.....GO DOLPHINS!!!!!...lol
