Hello every one I have a question for you.I would like to know why you call your self what ever it is you call your self.Ok lets start with me .My name is Sir Shootsalot. When I first started playing my name was ...unnamed soldier. After awhile I figured out how to write my name in..lol.Being the funny guy that I am I had a good name it was ....yourself. That way when somebody killed me it would read you killed yourself and will confuse them. That got old quick .I wanted a name that was different than the rest .So I had to think about it for awhile .I think I must have been watching a King Arther movie with Sir Lancelot.Well I thought it would be smart if I took that name and altered it for my own use. I think I came out with Sir Shootsalot right away. When I gave my self my name I wasn't playing moh yet.If I had been I might have went with Sir Nadesalot you never know .I like the name I picked I would not like to change it.Ok that is the story of my name. Now I would like to hear the story behind all of your names even if it doesn't mean any thing I would love to hear about it.You all have some very funny and interesting names and it would be cool if you told us how you decided on your game name.
Sir Shootsalot ;D

(See Desmo2's story on the Motorcycles thread, too.)
I started out with UnkAnon (Unknown and Anonymous together) and I still use that for Quake3, STV:EF, and RTCW: Enemy Territory. Just wanted not to be known, I stank so much at the games back then. Didn't even want a name suggesting gender (needed all the excuses I could get).
When I started going onto MOH servers, I had a little more confidence so I picked some new name, something that I could remember and one that would mean something to me (didn't care what others thought, as long as it didn't sound "sissy"). So I chose a combo of a favorite family name (great grandpa Rufus) and a Jr. High nickname (Rock Star, because of some fancy sunglasses I wore to baseball games at the time), substituting the English for the Latin (Red, not Rufus) and shortening Rock Star ---> and so, RedRock was born.

That an interesting question Sir S ! I chose my name LostChild when i first started playing. MOH was the first on-line game I have ever played ! I was completely lost and had little idea what I was doing . I felt like an orphan in the MOH world . Thus the name LostChild !!
p.s. Used since the beginning Couldnt bring myself to change it NOW !

(re-posted from Motorcycle thread)Ducati, of course, is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, and I am quite the Ducati aficionado. Desmodue is Italian for 'two valve,' describing the number of valves per cyclinder that particular engine design utilizes. The Ducati superbikes, such as the 916 series and the newer 999s, have a much stronger, higher strung engine that utilizes four valves per cyclinder...desmoquattro! My motorcycle is a Ducati 900SS, a two-valver. My license plate on the bike and subsequent MoH screen name, advertise my brand loyalty and love for the sport..."desmo2!" If I ever step up to the plate and get that four-valve 996, I'll have to change both to desmo4! So, now you know! (Here's a pic of the bike!)

"Rubble" is Barney Rubble's surname on the Flintstones cartoon. But that's not where I got the idea originally. My older brothers used to call me Rubbledude all the time as a comical form of my real name; Robert. Rob. Robble. Rubble.

Widow and I where in Pcola Fla.about 3yrs ago on pcola beach and my 10yr old found a key chain that said BigDaddy on it. Well that name stuck and that was the first name I ever used in Mohaa. Now when ever we find a key chain that says BigDaddy on it we buy it.

Well Hot Dog was my very first screen name, I used it when I played SW:BG.
The story behind it? Alright...I was playing a match (kill the commander) against some random people online and someone happened to mention that my commander was hot. Ironically, at the same time (because of poor graphics) someone suggested that he looked like a dog. Thus Hot Dog was "born". I totally forgot about the name for years, but then it suddenly came to mind just as I started to play MOH again (just a few days ago)

Hey guys I really love those stories.I remembered another name I went buy for testing purposes. After my vacation, for a day I went by Major_Sunburn.I thought it was appropriate because I had a pretty bad sunburn on my back at the time.It was a little inside joke to my self.On another occasion I was at the Lamronsplayground web sight and I was checking out the server status and I could see that Marauder was in the game with only a couple of other guys.So because of the fact that he is very good with the knives and in fact that week he had been on a pretty good stabbing spree in witch I always was the victim, I decided to quickly change my name to Dead by Knife. When I entered the battle not a minute went bye that he types in," shootsy is that you." I was pretty amazed he knew that it was me and we had a good laugh about it .When we were done laughing I think I changed it back to Sir Shootsalot just as quick. Any way these are great I would love see some more so please share the origin of your name with us.Thanks
Sir Shootsalot ;D

My story is pretty boring. When I was 4 yrs. old, I was accidentally separated from my parents on a whaling trip. I spent the next eleven years being raised by Eskimos. They have a phrase; "lamro'nagist omni" which roughly translated means "snow is everywhere". So I shortened the phrase to just lamro'na, or, Lamron. I thought this would be a cool game name because I want my sniping style to give the impression of me being "everywhere". And my enemy's demise is as inescapable as the weather!

You call that boring? What's exciting to you? Tell us more master Lamron! What area of the Arctic Tundra were you raised on? North West Territories? Greenland? Baffin Island? Yukon? Alaska?

Hey Lamron nice story. Only I think I heard the one about spelling words backward or something like that. And I didn't think you were raised by Eskimos, because if you were we would have some modded harpoons to use in the game. You also might have a special mod called snow ball fight, and I believe monster mode would be called polar bear mode.Any way good story just the same...lol. Mine actually has no real meaning. It was just one of those things that happen. In the early days there was games...one being the most sophisticated I had ever seen..PONG.and that little dot made my eyes wander and rove...just kidding...in the early days of playing Unreal Tournament online the guys I played with kept saying I was always marauding..that being I seemed to be everywhere and always stealing someone's kills. So I started playing with that handle and added the CDN to it after MOH came out. So this nick for me is 7-8 years old now...
