Very good points. I hear so much Bush-bashing from north of the border; I'm glad to see not everyone shares that opinion.

This story was in my local paper and all of the letters to editor on it were supportive. I was happy to read it. Oh and the only Bush/U.S bashing I hear in western Canada comes from some female senator from Ottawa. Most people I know consider the US as family. Our military went down with supplies and men to assist with the relief effort of Katrina. Plus...you have Disneyland!

An interesting side note...the Missouri State Highway Patrol sent a convoy of 50 Troopers and communications personnel to Mississipi, one of which was my Sergeant. He told me the RCMP was one of the FIRST outside agencies to arrive in the New Orleans area to offer their support. The RCMP is a class act in my book.

Canada...America... is there really that big of a difference? Heh, America owns more of Canada then Canada does Yes, I am a Canadian and I do have a healthy relationship with our American brothers. Usually when I go off on this topic I find most Americans get defensive (go figure) so I'm gunna stop myself here. PS. America does own a huge chunk of our economy...enough for us to be considered to be a branch of America
