getting booted

Howdy Lamron,

I had a hell of a time getting in the game today...kept saying server connection timed out...then when i got in, i got booted for high ping...any reasons other than me not having a mac?

Also, I have a problem picking the specialty weapons. I select bazooka, hold use, but can only get 50 cal sniper displayed...In my mainta I have:

1. playground fix v6 pk3
2. lpskinsV7
3. lpmenuV6
4. lamronsHUD V3

I can get the weapons retriction to work however??

Any ideas??

Woody, we are using a newer HUD, v5, which you should download and install. We learned of the newer HUD just last week, as the old one caused some problems with not showing the correct ammo on the MP-5.

I had no problems at the time Rookie and Woody were. When I entered, it said Rookie was there, but then he left (or was kicked for high ping, not sure which) as soon as I entered. I had a ping of 90-100. Woody came in and asked about the problems he was encountering getting the special weapons, but then he got kicked several times for high ping (his was in low 200's to upper 200's while mine stayed 90-100). Aigad and Al Coholic came in and Al got kicked for high ping. We were on the "new" BT map, Mount something, which I had switched us to when I was there by myself before Woody came in. Woody could get the special weapons when set for restrictions, but not when he simply wanted to choose one of them during "all weapons" setting. He got kicked again for high ping, and while Woody was out, Lost Child tried to connect 2 or 3 times but couldn't get in. So I switched us to Bazaar, and there Woody came back and got kicked again for high ping. I had to leave soon after that, but everything was working ok for me. I didn't see if Lost got in. This was all about 9:30-10 P eastern Sun. eve. 9/11.

I've been having some intermitent internet connection issues here locally. I'll have to contact the cable company and see if they can fix it.

Let me ask the obvious question, you are moving your mouse down to show the other weapons, aren't you? There are little white boxes on the sides of the picture that show you where you are in the list.

LOL, Lamron, I didn't think about suggesting that, and the funny thing is, when I first tried the new client file, I thought the little boxes were just decorations, but fortunately, I knew (from using the previous client fix files) to move my mouse to get a different weapon--during this process, the mouse pointer/crosshairs go away, but when the mouse is moved sufficiently either up or down, the boxes move and the pickable-weapon changes, and just a mouse click then chooses the weapon currently displayed.

Now, a question, Lamron: on the BMG 50, even when I choose an axis skin, it wakes up with allied scope, although it can be changed to axis by your USE/RIGHT CLICK toggle setting. Shouldn't it wake up as axis scope if the skin I'm using is axis? Lost Child has noticed the same thing, so it's not just me.

I was moving my mouse but nothing happened...will try it again though before whining again..
