It's not just the maps, everything downloadable seems affected--the error message returned is "File (to download) Does Not Exist." For example, Oseide custom map download has the link of lamronsplayground.com/maps/User-Osiedle.pk3, but it just ain't there! So Lamron has undoubtedly intentionally or accidentally, in his Throne seeking endeavors of late (Kingdom work, that is), disabled the downloads or moved the files. I'm sure he'll fix it when he's ready, and if it is a major problem, Lloyd, which one(s) are you in need of?

Hmm.... I've added some protection against hotlinking, but it should work if you directly click a link on the website or the forums. It shouldn't work if you cut and paste the address into your browser. Does clicking on the link in RedRock's post work?
If not, what OS and browser are you using, and do you have a firewall?

Lam, with my Mac OS, (left-) clicking on the link on the home page or on the link in my post above downloads the file just fine (gives me a big screwy machine language text file as a new page in my browser, which I can then "Save as...." with the automatically supplied file name and .pk3 (and have to delete the .zip ending) to save the downloaded map), but if I go to the home page and instead right click and choose "download linked file" then it gives me the "file doesn't exist" error. I don't know what this means.

So you can download if you left click (normal select), but not if you right click? If that works, then that's what I wanted.

I actually prefer right-click because it saves one step (it downloads and saves and asks where do I want to save it and under what name, all in one step) versus left-click (which after the download ends, I then have to do "Save As......" as a separate menu command) in order to save the Browser's window which is a page full of mush. When there are 8 or 10 maps or files to download one at a time, this is a big deal, but with only one DL to do, it is no biggie.

What exactly happens when you left-click the link?

I don't understand what going on here . BUT I left click and it works exactly as it should. With both Firefox and Microsoft IE , I left click and it give me an option where to save it . I know this doesn't help but wanted to let you know it works for me , And Lamron is probably seeing the same thing.

I don't know why it works for some people but not others. It probably has to do with how your firewall is configured. For now, I've turned off the link protection so everyone can download.
