If you have the latest Client Fix installed, you'll notice that there are now flags on the many of the maps that say "Lamron's Playground" on them. If you find a flag and hit USE on it, you will be restocked with Air Strikes and Proximity Mines and you will also receive 100 health. Then the flag will move to a new location. You will start each map with two each of the Air Strikes and Prox. Mines. You can't get more than two, you will just get restocked. If you are fully stocked and 100 health, nothing will happen, but the flag will still get moved to a new location.
I haven't added them to all maps, but eventually most stock and custom maps will have them. Some are well hidden, or hard to get to safely, so keep an eye out for them. They will rotate between three locations per map.
Players without the Client Fix won't be able to find them, so that's an another advantage for players who keep their downloads up-to-date.
The ability to earn more supplies, and the danger of getting to them, should add another element of complexity to the game.

I've seen the flag on Bazaar for quite a while, now, but didn't know what it meant, and I certainly didn't have any idea to run up to it and hit the Use button.
Now, if I understand this, it means than non-LP members now start with two airstrikes (just as LP members, rather than their old 1 and LP members' old 3) and can now get 2 more airstrikes per flag (rather than only 1 per map total).
Sheesh, there goes the neighborhood!
And I thought we were special!
By the way, Lamron, it's a clever idea.
And how about this idea: How about randomly, say 10% chance, that the flag will actually be "poison" and set the grabber on fire and strip him of his strikes and mines???

Wow lamron, you just keep adding great things to this server. I have yet to find a better, and frequently updated server out there. Keep at it.

Cool idea...I also like Redrocks suggestion that perhaps the flag can sometimes randomly be booby trapped...

Third on the occassional harmful flag, if possible. Maybe removes any remaining airstrikes/proximity mines, and reduces health by half?

Guys, don't overlook the embarrasing announcement/hideous death part I suggested too (setting the player on fire, to death) as a way of saying to him, "Hah! The nerve! Trying to grab all those goodies for youself! Take that, you naughty and greedy little fool!" And the corollary, of course, is that you will all imagine the huge grin I have when I go get the flag (and goodies) and get away with it!!!

Perhaps only Redrock gets burned to a crisp when he tries to swipe the flag??

Wow, you guys are sadistic! You want some poor player to find the flag, figure out how to get to it (I made a few of them pretty difficult), and then die through no fault of his own?
Well, I'll see what I can up with. It won't be random, because I believe that the player should always have a fair chance to avoid any hazzard if he's paying attention. All current hazzards can be seen and avoided, so I'll make some way of telling if a flag is safe or not.
But I'm not going to tell you what it is. I'll just amuse myself watching you die trying to figure out what the clue is.

Lam love the new mod seems to work great ,cant always find the flag but I will eventually.I read your ideas on having a death flag. How About two flags on the map at the same time one is a good one the other one burns or blows you up.The only difference could be a slight misspelling.Something not too noticeable. Maybe the flag pole could be a different color. Any ways just a few ideas for the pot. Sir Shootsalot

All current hazzards can be seen and avoided, so I'll make some way of telling if a flag is safe or not. Once everyone figures out which is a hazard an which isn't, And the hazard flag comes up wouldn't that eliminate flag use the rest of the map ? Unless there was a way to detonate or destroy the hazard flag.

Already thought of that. The flag will switch back and forth between safe and not while not moving from that location. So a "danger" flag won't hold up the flag usage, just wait until it toggles.

Figures ! ;D Can't out think the Mod Wizard ! But could it automatically change to hazard whenever Redrock touches it ?
