He has come in before for a couple of years I think. Spells it as "Daffy_Duck" with capitals. Coincidentally, Sneaky_PeteS came in today and said someone stole his name, and couldn't rejoin the server. He was playing a little different than the SP we know, using a KAR Sniper instead of the Delisle like he usually does. He was wearing the same skin though.

I don't think that was the sneaky pete that usually plays here...different skin, way different playing style, and this sneaky peteS was way more yappy than the "regular" one.

Perhaps Lamron could look at their IP addresses and see if they're any different?

daffy_duck is not such a distinctive name that I wouldn't happen by chance occasionally. If it really becomes a problem with players purposely impersonating LPmembers, I could script in a list of reserved names.
Since sneaky_peat isn't a forum member or a LPmember, I don't have a I.P. number to reference.

Daffy, just enter under any other name but with the password, then ask the guy to change his name slightly "because that name is reserved on this server for an LP Member of that name" (lock or kick, if he won't; no apology needed), then change your name from the multiplayer menu (without leaving the server or the game) after he's changed his name or has left the server.

It is said that Impersonation is the highest form of flattery. No, that's imitation! Impersonation is malicious! Even with Gen. Savahoe! ;D

Yeah, DS, I figured you were probably impersonating a comedian by purposely substituting that incorrect word for imitation. But they're not the same. With impersonation, the intent is for people to believe you are the one being impersonated, so that you may gain something from that belief, and that is malicious. With imitation, there is no attempt to make anyone believe you're the person being imitated, but rather, there is some characteristic or manner or feature which is amusing, funny, or interesting about the person being imitated that is fun to attempt to reproduce, usually openly and with the full knowledge of the audience, by voice or play-acting or recitation of sayings/lines/words, etc., and even a poorly done imitation can be fun (or even the goal itself--to do so, poorly). "Well, there you go again!" (in soft, chiding chuckling voice, i.e., Ronald Reagan) is what I'm sure you are thinking. Or perhaps "Doh!" (and just try NOT to think of the bald, rounded, yellow one on that!). I'm not really correcting, you, DS, or anyone, I'm just continuing and furthering this fun discussion, and I hope you can believe that. I too like to substitute an incorrect or unexpected word, especially one very close or similar to the expected/correct word, in a famous saying. Such as this: Familiarity breeds.............. attempt. (I tell that to my daughters all the time). And Lamron's and Savahoe's comebacks were nice ones! And I'm not intimidated by the threat of battery from any of you assaulted nuts.
