I must be in tune with you old folks red  Cuz I know both of those. Scuba, Self contained breathing apparatus. Laser, Light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation. How bout NASA and NASDAQ. You left out the u--UNDERWATER, self-contained underwater breathing apparatus And NASA is National Aeronautics and Space Administration (you were close, DS, but don't forget that many acronynms omit the's, and's, etc.) I had to look up NASDAQ to see if I was right--I thought it was National Association of Stock Dealers Analysis and Quotations, but it is (the) National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation (system). |

The greek fish was the symbol for Jesus that, tradition holds, early Christians used as a secret sign for where they'd be meeting. SAR & NEST are the next ones NOC, BUN, PSO2, and PRN LOL I bet Red will get mine right off. Isn't SAR search and rescue? I don't know NEST. The medical terms DS used I know, except NOC, unless it's No Other Complaints. How about LOLNAD ? or FLK? But these again are medical terms that the average person probably hasn't heard/seen. |

sorry my mistake NOC is not a acronym it is a abbreviation for Nocturnal.. commonly used in medical documentation for the word night.. sorry about that.
