I like the Verminator (without the Y--you had Verminator Y). Or, how about Dart Vader, and paint the yellow cap thingys black!

CRITTER SPLITTER! HAHAHAHA LMAO...I have a couple more designs not ready yet, but that WILL be one of them! OK as promised, first shots ever @ 21ft. The 13 in dart worked great , but the shorty is a no go. Shot it twice and it went straight and didn't break anything but, I guess the head needs a shaft...um ..haha snicker? I have to add that the bamboo dart would not come out without breaking the tip off into the target. Had to use pliers aggressively. I don't have the budget of mythbusters to buy a dead pig so I have to wait for a pest animal unlucky enough to venture into the property to see what happens. 10webs.com/digitalmilitia/Majors/testvideo/100_4777.MOV

Yeah..lol I was jokingly thinking the same thought one day. -the millions thing- Although, there are very few blowgun sites on the net! That Caveman page was a German guy I belive. I've been finding out that these things are actually illegal in some places. I can see this crap now.... - barrel caliber restrictions on a primitive hunting instrument
- Keep cork in both ends at all times WITH A LOCK....DUH
- this line is for crap I didn't think of....blah blah blah...
In your guys' opinion, is this acurate?!?! Lamron, what do you think? @ 2000ft, it has to be air assited don't you think? The reason why I asked was I thought I'd read where blowguns are like 135fps I thought...I may be remembering inaccurately. www.thefirearmsforum.com/showthread.php?t=24469www.blowgunsnorthwest.com/soldier.htmAnyway to the next POINT lol pun intended, I made some Critter Splitters DS tell me what you think. Picture shown is the debut of the Critter Splitter and the Critter Splitter X, 3 blades and 4 jic no one noticed. I figured out how to make the dart and the blades all at once. Still a pita = pain in tha ass lololol. I'ts 1:15 now, so if I can get the flights dry soon enough, I'll edit and post a maiden voyage of these for you! btw red, that was the only reason I put vermitor Y was because I was working on verminator X...BUT just plain verminator and verminator X sounds just fine with me. Incidentally I did see the possum last night when I got home from work....a shame I go in the back door as I past around, he scuttled off like he recognized me. Ima hafta carry my snuffin' equipment with me

Looks good, only concern I would be the 90 degree angle of the shaft point to the blade. That may not penetrate deep enough through bone to reach the vitals.

Ah I see what you mean I think. I should have taken a better pic or at least more than one. I fix reall quick and see if that helps see blade angle better. still not glued the flight cones yet though

I'm thinking the cutting part should be as close to the tip as possible, because a lot of energy will be lost just getting the tip and first part of the shaft through the skin/hide of the target prey, before it ever gets to the cutting blades. May some smaller sharply angled blades should be at the tip instead of, or in addition to and in line with, the bigger blades further back?

yeah, I tried to eliminate that, but the taper of the needle isn't friendly in that fashion. Still havn't shot them yet. I'm kind of afraid I won't get them out of the target without breaking them. I'll think of something. ;D additional info -- The .40 caliber blowguns and accessories are the most popular blowguns. This size is great for the beginner and all around use for target practice, hunting and paint balling. Manufacturers make the most product for this line. The .50 caliber and .62 caliber blowguns are more for hunting. You will find less "play" accessories for these two sizes. SIZES: * .40 caliber - 3/8" * .50 caliber - 1/2" * .62 caliber - 5/8" LENGTH ACCURACY AND VELOCITY DIFFERENCES: In posting the following information, you can use the references chart for the .50 caliber and .62 caliber. However, the manufacturers claim that by using the .50 caliber and .62 caliber blowguns you can achieve about 25% more velocity and distance. * 24" - accuracy range 50 feet, 150 feet per second * 27" - accuracy range 75 feet, 175 feet per second * 36" - accuracy range 100 feet, 200 feet per second * 48" - accuracy range 150 feet, 250 feet per second * By adding a 24" extension to any of these lengths listed above, you can increase your accuracy and distance by another 50 feet. *NOTE: .38 caliber blowguns were the norm many years ago. However, none of the manufacturers make any accessories for this size. You will most likely have to upgrade your blowgun. www.wholesalegoods.net/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=WGI&Category_Code=blowguns
