DUH! (about the bladed weapon--have to be long, lightweight, but strong, and sharp!)
Yep, I agree. My son-in-law told me about the two men chained to the "figure"--I immediately tried to forget what I head, and I think I've mostly succeeded.

Yeah, I watched last season's finale and then the first 20 mins of the new ep, but that's all the time I had then, so I have it on dvd and will watch it later this week. I truly despise the preggie wife, but at least the whiney kid (in the first 20 mins) seems to have grown up. And did you notice the home-made silencers they're using? Seemed like Rick's was a mag-lite flashlight body, and the boy had some sort of drink bottle. Finally, some realism. Bet BATF doesn't like that, though.

Yes I did in fact notice the flashlights. I think they made them stick out on purpose. "Rick" stated this in the last Talking dead episode.... before or after the black and white version of the first episode. I think they were trying to show some DIY initiative in-between episodes.
Yeah the prego female will probly hold the cure to all mankind or something. I won't say anything since you didn't finish but, they could have been a little more gentle to Hershel though.

LOL, I finished it. A knife and a little more finesse--they had time--would give him a better chance. And I was thinking the same about the baby to come. Now, mind you, I have not read any of the comics. Isn't the story still basically following those, so people kind of know what's coming?

I'm not sure of the storyline in the comics. The child thing just seemed like they might take that direction. I guess we'll see. Since you brought up Smallville in the other post, I guess I should mention there is also a Green Arrow series starting as well. It will be on the CW, So I guess we'll see if this is an adequate replacement for Smallville but it'll be hard to top that imo so far. hmmm this link looks like full episodes 1 & 2...I didn't know it was out yet so I guess I better get started. www.cwtv.com/shows/arrowEdit - Watched ep1 and 2....Yeah, I like it

Thanks for pointing that out, didn't know it was on. Weds. is not a good night for tv for me, but it's on-line too, that's conveninet; if it's not too much cheesy anti-capitalism, it could be good.

It's darker than Smallville!!! waaay more than I thought it would be. He actually takes people out, and that is not what I expected, myself, but then people that don't know the background may automatically assume since he has a bow he's going to take people out like that. Maybe when he's done with all the mob guys he'll get into his "special" arrows.

Recorded it. Actually, recorded this season's previous episodes leading up to this one, and I haven't even seen those yet. Been busy. Plus, I got NetFlix and have been watching Deep Space 9 from episode 1 onward, and I'm in the last season now. It was my favorite Star Trek series!!!!

DS9 was pretty cool. Voyager was my favorite but I don't have any DS9 so I'm going to have to collect some and start from the begining.

And another Alien Invasion Type tv series coming to SyFy, looks like sort of a BSG mix with Falling Skies: "Defiance" www.syfy.com/videos/Defiance/What's%20Hot/vid:2606367

It looks pretty good. If it is, lets hope they don't cancel this one.
New walking dead season starts next Sunday.
