Well, it COULD be a great game. If they're smart enough to learn from MW2's mistakes. Give us dedicated servers, a good mod system, and a complete SDK on launch day. Of course, we won't believe anything they tell us until we see it for ourselves. After all the lies about MOH: Airborne, they don't have any credibility left.

Is that video their best they could offer us? Even in the preview the game seemed to be laggy. Graphics.... IMHO, no comparison at all to what everyone else is doing. The graphics do look quite dated. I agree Lamron, EA Games has a long way to go before it even starts to recover any of their previous MOH users. In fact, I am surprised that they even have the willingness to show their embarrassed faces after the last huge debacle... without even an apology or explanation as to why they did what they did. I guess if we ignore a problem long enough, it might go away on it's own? COD is heading down that same road and are successfully removing all future excitement I may ever have toward buying any new releases. They seem to be ignoring the wishes of their customers and obviously know more about what we want and what is best for us than we do. That sounds familiar, doesn't it.

Gentlemen,
I hope you are well and happy and healthy this Christmas Season.
I miss all the games and friendships......
I have gravitated to Forza 3...being a gearhead and all.... They support Drag Racing now, so I'm hooked!
I love kicking punk asses that are 30-40 years my junior! Sick isn't it.....?
Anyway just a quick stop to say I miss all my Pals here and hope all is well........
Will try to check in more often.
Best Pvt. Michaels

Hi, Michaels.
I'm still stuck with COD2 and COD:UO and the occasional MOH:SH game, until I get an intel Mac. I plan that for Spring, but who knows, with this economy, and the wife still pushing for us to buy a house.
But good to hear from you.

IDK how long our spearhead server will remain up, but we @ **>GOB<** www.grumpyoldbastardsclan.com/ have been eying this also and have decided to get it when it comes out. So until then we all bought the Joint ops Combined Arms package " NOT the gold edition!" and playing the medic mod. I got mine for $10.99 new on ebay. It's what modern warfare was made for I guess. Anyway, I'm hoping it will relatively easy to mod by the time it comes out The game's official Twitter web site has posted up word that the single player campaign will be built by EALA using Epic's Unreal Engine 3 (indeed the recent trailer for the game is all Unreal Engine 3 footage). However the multiplayer team at DICE decided to use their own in-house Frostbite Engine (the same one being used for Battlefield Bad Company 2) for their portion of the game. It should be interesting to see how the game's development is handled with this rather unique approach. http://news.bigdownload.com/2010/01/25/new-medal-of-honor-game-to-mix-unreal-engine-3-with-dices-frost/ Frostbite engine en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frostbite_EngineSounds like they will eventually release modding tools when they were disusing the Bad Company release back on 11/10/2009 The original Battlefield Bad Company was a console exclusive. DICE hasn't forgotten the franchise's PC roots though, stressing that the PC version of Bad Company 2 will be more than just a port.
"On the PC, it's a PC version, which is getting that same treatment, and then also a little bit more as PC users are generally used to a different type of experience than console users are, and we recognize that and we want to make sure that we give that to the PC market and give the console market more," DICE's Gordon Van Dyke told IncGamers.
With modding being such a hot topic following the Modern Warfare 2 snafu, Van Dyke said the mod community that Bad Company 2 can expect some form of support from DICE. With the game engine being in its infancy though, Van Dyke said the situation is "really, really complicated" at the moment.
"Once we start getting there and the engine gets to a level where we can release tools that are easy for our own guys to use, and then easy for people publicly, then we'll get into that and we'll really start to focus on it," he said.
"But it's definitely not something that we're like, 'oh, we won't do that."
The PC version will also be getting a beta, so fans will be able to get their hands on the game early. With Bad Company 2 due in March 2010, look for the beta sometime in January or February. I liked the part about the tools being hard to use for their own guys lol www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3176866

Bad Company 2 doesn't have mod support. Another broken promise?

The trend is to keep cranking out the games as fast as the market can bear. Thus they do not want us modding the already released games so we will will buy the new releases.
I am very dissapointed they all have taken this route. It cuts our fun down, and deprives the gaming community as a whole of fresh new ideas that could be put in the new releases.

Using the binos to call airstrikes looks familiar I like the speed of the weapon handling. This looks like a really cool game. Please, oh please, let us have dedicated servers and mods. If they do, I'll run a server for this game.
