Carter's Presidency was the best it could have been given the times. He is by far the best former President in our history. Even today he is doing great things both at home and abroad.
Can Obama be a great President? Who knows... but given the options this election I am willing to find out.
It seems like no one is thrilled with either choice.

Anyone who calls him "best former President" is either severely deluded or just as evil as he is. Either way, you are not worth talking to anymore.

Carter should be charged with treason. He was not tasked to go sit at the same table with Hamas, and fraternize with the very same people that are killing our soldiers.
He thought he could negotiate with terrorists back in the 70's too and as a result our citizens sat in a stinking hole rotting away as hostages while he talked instead of squashing them like the scum they are.

Carter's ties to terrorist orginizations, and sympathy/support of their actions is too well known and too well documented for you to possibly be claiming ignorance of it.

I am scared to step out...but Vince...you are correct. I am very proud of Jimmy Carter and I wish our country could produce more like him.
I am pretty sure this will bring out fangs but oh well, It is what I feel is right.

"While Carter's political legacy may roil older, conservative voters, few under 40 have any memory of his presidency. To them and to many others, Carter is better known for his work on Habitat for Humanity and as a global humanitarian whose endeavors brought him the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002."www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/06/21/obama-carter-comparisons_n_108442.html

I not only remember his Presidency, I have met the man himself three times. I stand by my opinion and belief that he was an excellent President and an even better ex-President. And THANKS BB for the support Why be scared?

I am not claiming ignorance to the accusations, I am claiming that I vehemently disbelieve them. They do no to hand out Nobel Peace prizes to terrorists. Who was the last Republican to receive one??? HHHMMMMMM that would be Teddy Roosevelt way back in 1906.

Arafat and Begin both worked to bring a peaceful resolution to the Middle East BECAUSE of Jimmy Carter's efforts for the same.

Oh that is so funny. Yet another liberal bastion (Nobel Peace Prize) being heralded as "proof" of goodness of liberals. It's all so circular in logic. "We're good, because we're for "peace." We're for peace, so we're "good." Except that it's liberal definitions of both peace and goodness. What a load of crap. Carter has the ignominy of being the weakest president in history, the worst ex-president ever, and the stupidest person alive to have ever held the position. It's hard to imagine, but Obama might even make HIM look good, and boy, that's hard to do!
