When everyone else goes to sleep.... simple minds will play. Beer has this hobby that involves blowing himself up just to see how high he can get his carcass to fly. Of course it doesn't take much to spark the interests of Rubble and Myself, being simple-minded ourselves. Beer shows off his new skillsHere is a shot of Beer as he blew himself up way back by the gate. (he cleared the entire length of the bridge 4 times in a row from that spot I might add)Here is Rubble trying to synchronize his launch with Beer, but Beer is not ready yet.Beer is finally ready but launches himself "wide-right of the uprights"Rubble's corpse is in the backstroke position as it is hurled across the map and right at me.One of us, and I don't mean to brag, well, okay, I do, found that if we grab a Lamron Flag and collect the 250 health, we are still alive as we fly across the map. We didn't fare so well on our landings though. When a body flew past my position, I could faintly make out the cries of the characters. I was laughing so hard I could hardly breathe. A new player came in, while we were displaying a perfect example of how we all behave here at Lamron's Playground.... and they won the match.... with two kills. We are always ready to do our part and help Lamron find any glitches in the game... or create some during our testing processes. ;D Every time I look at those photos I have to laugh. Oh the fun you can have with that nade-rifle!

All I can say is that I may have to spend one Fri or Sat night exploring the interesting things that go on here when everyone is asleep Flying across the map alive sounds like fun to me

Great shots Beer!
On that first pic you can see the explosion on the ground where I took off from and on the second one, after you spun around to see me come down, you happened to catch Rubble's nade just missing me in mid air as I was coming in for my landing.
That was one funny evening!

You guys are just not right I tell you. So is it a jump timing thing to get that high or is it just the explosion doing all of that?

That is just the explosion, the way you angle the gun sets how high or far you go. ;D The science of nading ones self!?!??! LMAO!
Thanks Silly, I like the ones you got of Rubble looking like Superman.

In my favorite old Marathon series single player shootemup games for the Mac, there were many maps that required you to propel yourself up or over an obstacle or breach, in order to continue the game or to get some highly desirable goodie or to explore an extra cool part of the map. You could do that with the rocket launcher pointed toward the ground or your feet (pushed you way back or way up and back), but you had to have 3x health (1x = default spawn health) to start with to do that and survive (ended up with 0.25 to 1.25 health afterward, depending upon the angle of the launcher), or with the sawed off shotguns (one in each hand, each firing two shells at the same time) as you ran backwards and fired both at the same time, or you could run forward and use your mg with grenade launcher to fire a grenade at the ground in front of you, to lift you up but keep most of your forward momentum (and some of your health), to get over objects, or with the grenade launcher it was even possible (starting with 3x health) to fire up to 5 grenades in carefully-timed succession and "climb" up and over a tall wall. Man, I miss those days.
I definitely will have to try the grenade launching here. Bet, with high jump turned on, if you jump at the same time as firing, you could get quite high.
